May 13th Charity Pupdate

Greetings Doggo Lovers,

It’s Ellie and Jesse here with a special PUPdate for your FURiday! In the past two weeks we’ve had our hands full; from donating to the Underdog Railroad transport, waiving the adoption fee at Tobacco Valley Animal Shelter for a nervous pup named Quill, and providing medical support for the most gorgeous 2-year-old husky named Nanook. These three tasks seem to embody what our mission statement is as a nonprofit. We’re here doing our best to protect and advocate for the doggos in need.

We also wanted to share with you some exciting news about our sweet St. Bernard, Farrah! If you’ve been following her journey through the weekly PUPdates, you’ll know that she has had a difficult time with a stomach enzyme disorder, and the shelter staff was worried about her gaining weight! We are proud to announce that not only has Farrah put on some much-needed pounds, but has found her FURever home with a beautiful new family in Montana. These are the moments of joy that keep us motivated to push forward for other doggos; especially those with special needs. Congratulations Farrah! We wish you a happy and healthy life.

Would you consider joining us in our monthly community of human heroes? We’d love for you to be on the front-line to give back to the dogs that need it most and in return you’ll feel the joy more personally with added membership perks. Ellie and Jesse here for your weekly PUPdate! We are teaming up with MAMCO Rescue out in Colorado. Their mission is “to rescue pregnant and nursing dogs, and puppies from high-kill shelters,” and we fully stand behind their valiant efforts. We noticed on their Facebook page that there was a set of 5 of their puppers that were united; all of them have heart conditions that will require surgery. We Love Doggos wants every pup to get their chance to live a happy and healthy life; we donated $1000.00 towards the surgeries, and will continue to fundraise in the coming month. These surgeries can cost upwards of $4000.00 per doggos, so the work has only just begun!

Keep checking our PUPdates for additional information regarding these sweet doggos, and if you would like to donate on their behalf, we’d greatly PAWpreciate the support.

            Sincerely,

            Jesse & Ellie Pickles

Greetings Doggo Lovers!

We have a brief but joyous PUPdate this week. Sweet Farrah the St. Bernard is finally gaining some weight! After discovering that she had a stomach enzyme deficiency, she has been placed on a specialty diet in order to help her recover. The two small pounds that she put on this week equate to so much more; knowledge that Farrah will be okay. We Love Doggos is working closely with Mission Valley Animal Shelter to continue caring for Farrah, as the medications she is on are not a bargain. We plan to take care of the monthly enzyme costs once she finds her FURever home. If you’d like to contribute to Farrah’s monthly care, we welcome you to donate on her behalf. Every penny counts; the health and wellness of this sweet pup depends on it. Farrah, we love you!

April 8th Charity Pupdate

Greetings Doggo Lovers,

There has been a whirlwind of activity over here at We Love Doggos Charity! We are excited to announce that we’re supporting Wag Race; an event dedicated to raising funds for the Humane Society of Northern Montana and a local dog park in Whitefish, Montana. Each winner of the 1.5-mile and 4-mile races will win a $250.00 donation on their behalf to a shelter of choice! We are so excited to get the chance to interact with our community in our neighboring town and excited to see all the doggos out there strutting their stuff!

We’ve also worked tirelessly this week to provide support for this sweet doggo, Farrah, out at Mission Valley Animal Shelter. This sweet baby has an enzyme disease and struggles to process her food. The sweet Saint Bernard should be about 80lbs and is weighing in currently at 52. There is hope for Farrah, and we are helping the shelter to get to the bottom of this medical condition so that this doggo can find her way to her FURever home with a full belly! We Love Doggos has future plans to pay for any monthly medications that may make it difficult for her to get adopted once she’s healthy.

If you’d like to donate to her monthly care, check out our Hero Club and become a monthly giver! You’ll receive some heckin’ awesome perks, including our monthly featured doggo success story. Every penny counts towards these life-saving efforts and we thank you for your support.

Greetings Doggo Lovers,

We Love Doggos is proud to share another success story! Grace was found with her mama and siblings abandoned in the woods out in our state of Montana. Tobacco Valley Animal shelter contacted us about the litter of puppies and asked for support with Grace specifically. The poor baby girl was traumatized by what she faced alone out there with her family. We went ahead and waived Grace’s adoption fee and offered behavioral training to the sweet puppy, and within two weeks, she has been adopted!

Tobacco Valley Animal Shelter has been a reliable and consistent partner for us here at We Love Doggos, and we are always here to lend a PAW in their time of need. Rescue is a team effort, and supporting their shelter is a cause we are proud to stand behind. Congratulations on another success, Tobacco Valley. We love you, Grace!

March 11th Charity PUPdate

AWOO! Happy FUR-iday from all of us here at We Love Doggos Charity!

This week, we focused in on building our Hero Club! It is the most direct way
our community members can stay up to date with the fundraising
opportunities and doggos we rescue along the way. Not to mention, you get
added perks for being a member! Watch the video to learn more!

Every month, we make a contribution to the UnderDog Railroad Transport, a
non-profit from Northern California! We feel so thankful for this partnership
and are always looking for more ways to contribute to their cause when
possible. In 2021, The UnderDog Railroad Transport was able to move 470
doggos out of high-risk shelters into no-kill facilities where they have a much
better chance of finding their FUR-ever home! In their last big transport up to
Eureka, Montana, we even got to help with the unloading process, and
provide the fees to spay and neuter all of the doggos that made their way
there.

Check back next week to see what PAWsome contributions you’re helping us
to make to doggos in need! Have a HECKIN’ good weekend.

March 3rd PUPdate

Greetings Doggo Lovers!

Ellie Pickles is having a Birthday PAWty, and you’re invited!! Our very own Brand AmbassaDOG is turning 6-years-old, and to celebrate, we’re fundraising for the support of the shelter we adopted her from all those years ago; Bideawee Animal Shelter.

Bideawee is one of our nation’s FIRST no-kill animal shelters! It was established over 100 years ago in Manhattan, New York. The term Bideawee means “stay awhile,” and the organization is in our opinion one of the best at making their rescue dogs feel safe and at home in their care. They found our sweet Ellie abandoned on the side of the road in Arkansas and ensured that she got the support she needed right off the bat. We adopted her and maintained a wonderful relationship with the shelter, sending them updates about Ellie’s medical progress! In 2018, Ellie was featured as Bideawee’s Dog of the Year. She got dressed up in her Sunday best and attended a Gala that fundraised nearly $60,000 dollars for doggos in need across the country.

We wouldn’t be here without Bideawee Animal Shelter; they inspired our passion for dog rescue and brought us our very best friend. Donations to We Love Doggos Charity will be directly allocated to Bideawee for the entire weekend! We hope you consider donating as a gift to our Ellie girl.

Happy Birthday, Ellie Pickles!

February 6 Charity PUPdate

Greetings Doggo Lovers,

We Love Doggos Charity is proud to bring you the Weekly PUPdate! Once a week,
you’ll get the inside scoop on our fundraising efforts and the rescues we’re working
with. This provides you with the confidence that your support is making a
difference, and allows us to amplify our voices. After all, there’s plenty to BARK
about!

This weeks TALE is about a dog transport mission from California to our neighbors
here in Eureka, Montana. Our founder, Terry Williamson, met up with two of our
affiliates: Tobacco Valley Animal Shelter & The Underdog Railroad Transport. It was
a merging of community resources, and together, they helped move 17 doggos
from high-kill shelters to places they’ll have a chance to find their FURever homes.
Of the 17, 8 were placed in the caring hands of Tobacco Valley. The rest are headed
north to become Canadian citizens!

Dog transport missions are endlessly inspiring to us here at We Love Doggos. Terry
felt that they were helping lead doggos with “no futures to bright futures.” He told
each doggo a story, and it’s as if they understood that they were finally safe. Cara,
the founder of Underdog Railroad said, “Teamwork saves lives.” And we couldn’t
agree more.

What’s next? We want to get these puppies adopted! We’re working with Tobacco
Valley Animal Shelter to spay and neuter the new interim residents in hopes that
this gets them home soon.

We’ll continue to update you as we learn more about these doggos and see them to
the bright futures ahead.

With love and gratitude,
Jesse & Ellie Pickles

Jan 23 PUPdate

This week at We Love Doggos Charity, we have been going through quite a redesign! It is our hope that you get all the information you need here at our charity hub, and we’ve been working around the clock to get the information to you virtually in a more effective manner. As uninteresting as this may be as an update, it’s a part of what our team is committed to; providing a space that strengthens the hooman-animal connection. If that part of the mission is falling short, we don’t have the balance we need to make our rescue missions transparent and worth your endorsement.

Our goal this upcoming February is to provide support for one doggo a week! Whether that’s waiving adoption fees, funding vaccination costs or behavioral training, we’ll be there. Right now, we are working with Tobacco Valley Animal Shelter in Montana to provide behavioral training for this sweet doggo, Thor.

Thor is a rambunctious 2 ½ year old heeler/pitbull mix with some social anxiety around other doggos. He just hasn’t had much time to socialize with them and sometimes gets aggressive when he tries to make a new friend. The shelter fears that these issues will cause him to be more challenging to place into a FURever home. We hope that by providing behavioral training for our buddy Thor, we can get him home soon.

With Love and Gratitude,
Jesse & Ellie Pickles
