Weekly Pupdate

Greetings Doggo Lovers,

This charity PUPdate brings us so much joy as it reflects the immense effort of our primary sponsor: The Underdog Railroad Transport. It also reflects our current statistics and future goals as a charity.

So far this year, Underdog has helped 232 doggos!!! We are proud to offer them a monthly donation because we know that it directly affects the lives of approximately 15 doggos in each transport. The grassroots nature of this cause is inspiring and something that our non-profit company culture seeks to reflect in the work that we do.

With that being said how about a roundup of what We Love Doggos has been able to accomplish in the first half of this year?!

It brings us pleasure to announce that we have directly supported 152 doggos this year…that’s nearly 25 doggos each month! For our first 6 months as an official 501c3, we feel that this progress is just the beginning. Do you think we can help 365 doggos this year? We certainly plan on it!

We hope you’ll join us in our mission to save all the doggos; supporting dogs is the heartbeat of our cause, but the community we have is the life blood.

Greetings Doggo lovers,

It’s Ellie and Jesse here with the weekly PUPdate! This week we wanted to give you an image of exactly what success looks like to us. If you’ve been following along, we recently helped a dog named Nanook. He’s a gorgeous two-year-old husky who was malnourished with a gnarly infection and in need of an emergency surgery. The rescue team speculated that he was a companion pet to an individual experiencing homelessness. Through the heat of the pandemic, so many people and their pups have lost their homes, jobs, and daily comforts. I can only imagine how difficult it must’ve been for Nanook’s previous owner to have let him go for his own health and safety, but we are thankful that they did what was best for the doggo in the long-term.

We Love Doggos is here now to carry Nanook to the next chapter of his life. From transporting him with the Underdog Railroad and contributing to the cost of surgery, we are happy to report that Nana is safe in a foster home and recovering well. Here’s a photo that we received from his foster; I ensure you that you will feel the joy transfer from this photo to your heart.

We Love Doggos

Greetings Doggo Lovers,

We hope you had another PAWsome week; I know we did! Ellie and I closed out the month of May by making a special delivery to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. We Love Doggo’s has worked with them one time in the past in a time of crisis. After a devastating fire broke loose south of Boulder County, this amazing shelter stepped up to help. We were proud to donate to their Marshall Fire Emergency Safety Net Fund and their lifesaving efforts to reunite lost doggos with their families. Although We Love Doggos is Montana-based non-profit, we are proud to serve the Colorado community as well, as that’s where Ellie and I reside!

It was a fantastic day printing out the Humane Society Wishlist items and purchasing as many as our donation fund allowed. The look of gratitude on the volunteers faces when we dropped off the bags of treats, toys, and health items was priceless.

It’s Ellie and Jesse here with a special PUPdate for your FURiday! In the past two weeks we’ve had our hands full; from donating to the Underdog Railroad transport, waiving the adoption fee at Tobacco Valley Animal Shelter for a nervous pup named Quill, and providing medical support for the most gorgeous 2-year-old husky named Nanook. These three tasks seem to embody what our mission statement is as a nonprofit. We’re here doing our best to protect and advocate for the doggos in need.

We also wanted to share with you some exciting news about our sweet St. Bernard, Farrah! If you’ve been following her journey through the weekly PUPdates, you’ll know that she has had a difficult time with a stomach enzyme disorder, and the shelter staff was worried about her gaining weight! We are proud to announce that not only has Farrah put on some much-needed pounds, but has found her FURever home with a beautiful new family in Montana. These are the moments of joy that keep us motivated to push forward for other doggos; especially those with special needs. Congratulations Farrah! We wish you a happy and healthy life.

Ellie and Jesse here for your weekly PUPdate! We are teaming up with MAMCO Rescue out in Colorado. Their mission is “to rescue pregnant and nursing dogs, and puppies from high-kill shelters,” and we fully stand behind their valiant efforts. We noticed on their Facebook page that there was a set of 5 of their puppers that were united; all of them have heart conditions that will require surgery. We Love Doggos wants every pup to get their chance to live a happy and healthy life; we donated $1000.00 towards the surgeries, and will continue to fundraise in the coming month. These surgeries can cost upwards of $4000.00 per doggos, so the work has only just begun!

Greetings Doggo Lovers!

            We have a brief but joyous PUPdate this week. Sweet Farrah the St. Bernard is finally gaining some weight! After discovering that she had a stomach enzyme deficiency, she has been placed on a specialty diet in order to help her recover. The two small pounds that she put on this week equate to so much more; knowledge that Farrah will be okay. We Love Doggos is working closely with Mission Valley Animal Shelter to continue caring for Farrah, as the medications she is on are not a bargain. We plan to take care of the monthly enzyme costs once she finds her FURever home. If you’d like to contribute to Farrah’s monthly care, we welcome you to donate on her behalf. Every penny counts; the health and wellness of this sweet pup depends on it. Farrah, we love you!
